Electricity prices in the UK have increased starting 1 April 2025. Here are the key details:

Energy Price Cap Increase: Ofgem raised the energy price cap by 6.4%, bringing the annual cost for a typical household to £1,849, up from £1,738 in the previous quarter. This equates to an additional £9.25 per month for households paying by Direct Debit.

Electricity Unit Prices: The average electricity cost per kilowatt-hour (kWh) rose to 27.03 pence (from 24.86 pence), though the daily standing charge decreased slightly to 53.80 pence.
